As a follow up to THE ONLY BLOOD BETWEEN US (July 2005, Rivalry Records), this 11 track album combines GIA's brand of melodic hardcore (BATTERY, CHAIN OF STRENGTH, COUNT ME OUT, DAG NASTY) with a darker, heavier sound a la DAMNATION AD. As usual, the album is full of thought-provoking, brutally honest, introspective lyrics that hit strikingly close to home, pulling at the strings of self doubt. The underlying feel of the entire album is that of sand slipping through fingers, and the suffocating feeling that comes with the disappointing realization that we are not at all what we had spent our entire lives trying to become.
